61st week of the Russian invasion of Ukraine

This Friday, we’ll have a war abolition walk in honor of Daniel Ellsberg and his enduring legacy against war and the nuclear arms race. Our walk will be part of Daniel Ellsberg Week, coordinated by Defuse Nuclear War. Here’s Daniel’s interview last Friday from the NYT. We call for a ceasefire and diplomacy in Ukraine, and an end to all wars.

Friday, April 28, 6:30 – 8 pm.

  • 6:30 – Begin at Yahara Place Park (where the Yahara flows into Lake Monona, the intersection of Yahara Place and Riverside Drive). Then we’ll walk along the Yahara River bike path.
  • 7:00 – 7:15 – Vigil with signs and banners at E Washington Avenue and the Yahara River. Then walk on to Tenney Park.
