Truax Construction Timeline

Contact the Governor and the County Executive – demand that no construction take place until the Air Force and Air National Guard complete a COMPLETE SITE INVESTIGATION and THOROUGH PLAN FOR PFAS CLEANUP – including funding sources.

From the WI Dept of Military Affairs: 115FW_PFAS_Timeline through Sept 2020

As of July 14, 2020:

With the Record of Decision complete, the 115th Fighter Wing is able to start the process of competing and awarding the construction projects to general contractors.

–  The Simulator project is 100% designed and the 115th Fighter Wing Contracting staff is proceeding with the acquisitions process.  A Request For Proposals (RFP) will be made available this summer with an anticipated contract award in the September-October time-frame.  Once a general contractor is selected, the actual start date for construction will be negotiated.

–  The 115 FW is approaching 100% design of one of two aircraft hangar renovations which should also be awarded by December 2020.

–  Aircraft parking ramp work will most likely be awarded by December 2020.  Due to the Wisconsin climate, the physical work is not projected to begin until the Spring of 2021.

–  The Alert hangar facility is at approximately 65% design and is projected to be awarded in the early Spring of 2021.  Construction of the facility would begin soon after.

The 115th Civil Engineer staff will continue to work with Architectural and Engineering firms on the remaining designs with a construction schedule lasting well into 2024.

If your firm is interested in performing services at the 115th Fighter Wing related to these projects, please monitor https://beta.sam.gov/ for solicitations and Requests for Proposals.

Thank you for reaching out.
