Two short 5 min films by University of Vermont student filmmaker Ruby Bates about the movement to end the basing of the F-35 in Vermont.
Since 2013, Vermont residents have protested the F-35 basing at their municipal airport. Opposition is tied to climate and human impacts, including crash risk, hearing damage, militarization, nuclear weapons capacity, and disproportionate impact on low income communities.
Sharing of the films will be followed by a discussion and panel presentation about the making of the films and the movement that inspired them! Details for how to join this event will be shared in the discussion.
